Une jolie princesse blonde, une vilaine sorcière tout de noire vêtue, des oiseaux de mauvais augure, une grosse brute barbare, trois moutons blancs et un mouton noir, des fainéants s’enrichissant « aux frais de la princesse », des usurpateurs, … L’énumération de ces différents protagonistes n’est pas celle du dernier conte de fée à la mode, mais bien un aperçu de l’éventail des personnages étant apparus au cours de ces dernières années dans les affiches de propagande helvétique.

Das Bundesgericht kommt im Urteil vom 7. April 2017 zur Einschätzung, dass sich eine im Zeitpunkt der Einbürgerung 86-jährige Frau nicht genügend um ihre Integration bemüht habe. Die Gemeinde habe die ordentliche Einbürgerung zurecht verweigert. Laut dem Bundesgericht hätte sich die mittlerweile demente und schwerkranke Gesuchstellerin nach ihrer Einreise in die Schweiz im Alter von 72 Jahren besser integrieren sollen: Deutsch lernen und Kontakte zur lokalen Bevölkerung pflegen.

The issue of whether EU (labor) migration law respects the principle of gender equality as it is supposed to is so far understudied. This attempt of exposing some gender-related flaws in the EU migration law shortly discusses the gender-neutrality of the EU Blue Card Directive and the Seasonal Workers Directive as two examples of EU migration law. And, it is used as evidence that the EU asylum and migration law does indeed contain traces of gender-discrimination.
