International Academic Mobility
ACAMOB – Looking Back at nccr – on the move’s Measures to Foster International Academic Mobility
ACAMOB is a collaborative project funded by the nccr – on the move, which seeks to evaluate the nccr – on the move’s international mobility schemes (such as the visiting fellowship programs, grants for conference participation, and research collaborations) implemented during the last 12 years. Over the years, these schemes have evolved to foster North-South research and academic collaborations and promote early-career researchers.
The research we are conducting is not only an evaluation of these schemes (what has been the impact, what has worked, not worked, etc.), but we also aim to contribute to the academic debate on academic mobility and global inequalities in knowledge production.
We are conducting a survey and interviews with participants of nccr – on the move’s international mobility schemes, and are also reaching out to stakeholders in Switzerland and beyond with similar experiences.
