Code of Conduct

Our Commitment

At the nccr – on the move, we are committed to fostering an environment where respecting and valuing the dignity, autonomy, and diversity of individuals, while actively promoting equal opportunities and inclusion regardless of gender, racial, ethnic, religious, or social background, sexual orientation, age, physical appearance, disability, or cognitive impairments are paramount.

Preventing Discrimination and Harassment

With this in mind, we established our Code of Conduct as a key element in our efforts to prevent discrimination and harassment. It clearly defines unacceptable behaviors and provides comprehensive procedures for addressing any such instances.

Our Code of Conduct specifies unacceptable behaviors as any actions or comments that directly or indirectly harm another person and encourages respectful behaviors that contribute to creating an open, safe, and inclusive environment for activities and exchanges.

We encourage all our members, from Project Leaders to external participants, to report concerns, all the while ensuring that all issues are handled with confidentiality and care.

Accessible Support and Resolution

We offer both informal guidance and formal resolution processes, with the well-being of individuals as our priority. While we facilitate contact with appropriate structures, we recognize that all legally binding actions in the area of employment law are the responsibility of the universities employing our researchers.

An Evolving Framework

Our Code of Conduct is an evolving document and can be updated based on our members’ feedback to stay relevant and effective. This ongoing refinement reflects our dedication to maintaining a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment.

We are dedicated to continuous learning and improvement in promoting equality and inclusion. Through our collective efforts, we aim to contribute to a more just and equitable society.
