Khamsy
PostDoc
Nina Khamsy is an anthropologist specialising in the intersection of digital technologies and forced migration. She is currently a postdoctoral fellow at the Institute of Sociology at the University of Neuchâtel. Before joining the nccr – on the move, Nina completed her PhD at the Department of Anthropology and Sociology at the Geneva Graduate Institute. Her doctoral research was rooted in ethnographic fieldwork, examining the role of smartphones, social media, and biometric technologies in the migration journeys of refugees – mainly Afghans but also Syrians – across Southeastern Europe.
