English, the Predominant Language Among the Foreign-Born Population

The survey inquired about the primary language proficiency of the participants, revealing that Standard German takes the lead with 28.4% of respondents declaring proficiency in this language. Following closely is English at 27.6%, taking the second position. French is third (22%), followed by Spanish, Italian and Portuguese.

Furthermore, a significant proportion of those surveyed say they speak several languages. When considering multilingualism, English emerged as the most spoken language, with 48.6% of the surveyed participants speaking it.
