Evolution of Employment Status
Prior to their relocation to Switzerland, 58,1% of the surveyed held full-time jobs, while 12% were employed part-time. At their arrival, we observe a trend of adaptation leading to a decrease in the percentage of people working full-time (45,7%). At the time of the survey, a few years after their relocation, the proportion of respondents working full-time increased to 52,2 %. The percentage of part-timers rose to 18,2%, reflecting a 6,2% increase from the pre-migration situation. Although the overall employment rate remains constant, a shift to more part-time work can be seen.
Before moving to Switzerland, only 5,4% of those surveyed were looking for work. This rate increases after arrival in Switzerland (13,6%), then drops to 7,1% at the time of the survey. This pattern confirms a gradual adaptation or integration into the Swiss labor market.
