Diverse Gender Dynamics in a Youthful Population Sample
In 2024, the Migration-Mobility Survey (MMS) involved 6,971 individuals of foreign origin, with a gender distribution of 50,4% male and 49,6% female. The gender composition of the surveyed group varies according to region of origin. For instance, South Americans mostly consisted of females, making up 60% of the participants. On the other hand, the majority of the individuals from African countries are male, comprising 56% of the sample. These differences can be explained by reasons for migration, which can be professional, family, or other factors, and may affect men and women differently.
The survey population is relatively young with 60.8% falling within the age range of 24 to 44. Only 12.7% of the population were aged 55 or older. Women slightly outnumber men up to the age of 44, after which the trend reverses. Between the ages of 55 and 66, there are three men for every two women.
